2003-2009
Foundations and Firsts
Katrina Hosea founded BeeTree Homes in 2003 after earning her contractor’s license and setting out to integrate design and construction under one roof. In these early years, she completed her first projects, remodeled her own home in Queen’s Harbour, and earned BeeTree’s first major industry award. By 2008, her husband Chuck joined the business, helping navigate the challenges of a growing company during the recession.
2010-2016
Expansion and Recognition
With a dedicated office space and a growing team, BeeTree scaled its operations, took on larger projects, and solidified its design-build reputation across Jacksonville. In 2014, the company opened its first showroom, offering clients a more immersive design experience and expanding their service capabilities.
2017-2021
Adapting and Investing in Leadership
This period marked a shift toward long-term team development. Shelby joined as a design assistant, Jeanann came on as accountant, and Aaron was added as project manager. Brian transitioned from the demo crew to project manager, reflecting BeeTree’s commitment to growing talent from within. BeeTree navigated the challenges of COVID by adapting operations, closing the showroom, and shifting cabinetry design off-site. The team also moved into its current office location.
2022-Today
Legacy in Motion
Recent years have focused on elevating internal leadership and refining the client experience. BeeTree has completed over 115 projects in Queen’s Harbour, resumed in-house cabinet design, and promoted from within, with Shelby becoming design manager and Jeanann transitioning into a cabinet design role. The company continues to grow with a focus on team culture, client care, and creative transformation.
Katrina Hosea
Founder
Katrina Hosea founded BeeTree Homes out of both necessity and vision. As a designer and mother of four, she saw firsthand how poorly designed homes failed to serve real families. Frustrated by builders who dismissed design thinking, she decided to learn construction herself. That journey led her from project management to construction science, and eventually to creating one of the region’s most respected design-build firms. Today, Katrina combines design insight, leadership, and a deep sense of purpose to create homes that are as functional as they are beautiful.
She is known for her tenacity, her out-of-the-box thinking, and her ability to connect deeply with both clients and her team. Whether she is welcoming a new client, mentoring her design staff, or walking a job site, Katrina brings energy, vision, and heart to everything she does. Her proudest moments are those when she sees BeeTree’s work improve lives; not just for homeowners, but for the employees and trade partners who make it possible. On weekends, she enjoys gardening, spoiling her mom, and spending time with her three dogs. Katrina believes a great remodel is a team effort, and her leadership ensures that BeeTree is driven by relationships, not just transactions.
Chuck Hosea
Owner & President
Chuck Hosea brings a rare blend of technical knowledge, operational experience, and steady leadership to BeeTree Homes. After a successful 15-year career managing IT and operational support for government agencies, Chuck joined the company his wife, Katrina, founded. Since then, he has become an essential part of BeeTree’s success, especially during pivotal moments when his calm presence and problem-solving mindset were needed most.
Chuck is known for his determination, attention to detail, and surprising knack for design elements. He has a passion for structural engineering and enjoys tackling job site challenges with practical, creative solutions. Clients quickly recognize his commitment to quality and his focus on making sure every project is executed with precision. Outside of work, Chuck enjoys relaxing at the grill, crossing off items on the honey-do list, and listening to some Jimmy Buffett. He wants every homeowner to feel confident in the BeeTree team and to truly enjoy the space they create together.
Jeanann Hosea
Cabinet Designer
Jeanann Hosea grew up around construction but discovered her passion for design as an adult. Her interest in architecture, combined with the chance to work with family, led her to pursue a role that blends creativity with structure. With a detailed eye and a calm approach, she brings thoughtful designs to life and helps guide clients through each stage of the process.
Known for being precise and highly organized, Jeanann finds the most joy in collaborating on cabinet design, solving challenges with the team, and drafting plans that capture the client’s vision. She believes in listening first and creating spaces that feel personal and well-balanced. Outside of work, she enjoys board games with her family and taking her dog on adventures. Her goal with every project is simple: help clients feel heard, supported, and excited about the home they are creating.
Shelby Hosea-Click
Design Manager
Shelby Hosea-Click brings a strategic and ambitious spirit to her role as Design Manager at BeeTree Homes. Having grown up around the industry, she has been immersed in remodeling and design work since the age of 17. Her deep understanding of construction, paired with her creative eye, makes her a standout in solving design challenges and creating spaces that are both stylish and highly functional.
Shelby is known for her ability to find common ground between differing design opinions and for thinking outside the box. She finds joy in space planning, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, and constantly learning through new projects. Being promoted to Design Manager and mentoring others has been one of her proudest accomplishments. On weekends, Shelby enjoys relaxing at home with her husband, their dog, and three cats. Her ideal design includes top-tier appliances, durable materials, and a dream-worthy organized closet. Clients working with Shelby can expect to feel comfortable, confident, and informed every step of the way.
Brian Click
Project Manager
Brian Click brings a dependable, detail-driven approach to every project he manages at BeeTree Homes. He originally worked on the demo crew before leaving for a time, then returned to the company as a project manager. That hands-on foundation, combined with a background in sales, gives Brian a well-rounded perspective and a deep appreciation for seeing designs come to life.
He thrives on turning vision into reality and is known for his calm, clear communication. Whether managing timelines, coordinating with subcontractors, or guiding clients through the process, Brian helps make remodeling feel organized and rewarding. On weekends, you’ll find him hiking with his wife and their pack of pets. A fan of classic rock and country music, he lives by the motto "measure twice, cut once."
Aaron Ellis
Project Manager
With over 20 years of hands-on experience, Aaron Ellis plays a key role in delivering the high standards BeeTree Homes is known for. He grew up surrounded by construction, learning early from family members in the trade, and later spent 18 years as an aircraft structure mechanic before running his own drywall company. That background shaped his precision, patience, and ability to find creative solutions on the job.
At BeeTree, Aaron is known for being hardworking, steady, and deeply committed to each project. He’s the person who brings calm to the chaos, often stepping in to solve the toughest problems and help newer team members grow their skills. Outside of work, Aaron pastors a local church and coaches his daughters’ softball team, bringing the same dedication and care to his community that he does to every home renovation. He wants every client to feel confident, supported, and fully heard throughout the building process.
Jon Flores
Architectural Designer
Jon Flores brings more than 26 years of experience and a lifelong passion for art and architecture to his role at BeeTree Homes. His love for design began in third grade, sketching buildings and cars complete with dimensions, and grew into a career focused on residential design-build. After getting his start at a large commercial firm, Jon quickly realized his heart was in creating homes that reflect the people who live in them. For the past 20 years, he has dedicated himself to custom residential work, where creativity and personal connection matter most.
Jon is known for being easygoing, thoughtful, and precise. He enjoys meeting with clients on site, collaborating with the design team, and sketching ideas that bring spaces to life. One of his proudest moments is seeing a finished project through a client’s eyes as they point out the details they love. Outside of work, Jon travels with his wife and two kids, folds laundry, and dreams up high-performance vehicle builds. He believes great design starts with a great team, and his goal is always to make the process exciting, smooth, and rewarding for every homeowner.
Erin Elia
Design Assistant
Erin Elia brings creativity, warmth, and a deep love for design to her role at BeeTree Homes. With a background in the beauty and service industries, Erin is no stranger to blending artistry with real-world needs. After becoming certified in residential interior design, she took a leap into the world of home renovation and has never looked back. Since then, she has grown quickly in her role, assisting with everything from material selections to on-site problem solving, always with a supportive and thoughtful approach.
Her teammates describe her as dependable and encouraging, and her clients feel immediately at ease with her calm communication style. Erin finds joy in collaborating with Shelby on design plans and loves watching BeeTree projects transform from vision to reality. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé Dylan and their two beloved cats, Peaches and Obi Wan. Whether she’s singing karaoke or visiting a tile showroom, Erin brings energy, curiosity, and genuine care to everything she does.
Amber Lee
Construction Office Administrator
Amber Lee’s path into construction began at 15, working alongside her father in his commercial remodeling business—a foundation that shaped her resourceful, problem-solving nature. With years of experience running her father’s company, managing a utility service office, and earning a Certificate in Project Management, Amber keeps operations running smoothly while supporting both team and clients.
Known for her dependability and proactive approach, she ensures every detail is handled with care and makes clients feel like part of the family. Outside of work, Amber enjoys time with her husband and daughter, building LEGO creations, relaxing with Harry Potter marathons, and visiting Universal. She also channels her creativity into her Etsy shop, designing shirts, decals, and tumblers.
Padfoot
Office Companion
Padfoot is the heart of the BeeTree Homes office. Known for his calm presence and charming personality, he brings joy to everyone who walks through the door. His gentle snore has become a comforting background sound and never fails to make the team smile.
He wants clients to feel happiness and contentment and hopes his tail wags and greetings add a little light to their day. Padfoot’s favorite parts of the job include meeting new clients, napping in the designer’s office, and arriving just in time for lunch.
